Pre-Covid, Bronagh and myself decided to see more of Scotland by travelling, in alphabetical order, to various villages and towns we hadn’t visited before, and once there, or even on the way, take some detours to visit some of the beautiful places in our lovely country. On New Year’s day 2024 we completed the challenge by visiting Zoar.
Spurred on by the enjoyment we had in completing the A-Z of Scotland challenge, Bronagh suggested we lift the bar a little and see if we could do something similar using our love of live music so here’s the challenge.
The Challenge
4 parallel musical objectives. Complete an A to Z of
Acts, Venues, Towns & Cities where we seen the gigs, Countries we visited in pursuit of a live gig.
So far we’ve seen a whole range of bands since we started in January 2024 and ticking off more letters of the alphabet each month.
Venues have been mostly in and around Glasgow.
Our European Journey
Towns and Cities – The geographical map starting to take shape as we headed into the European leg.
Countries was always going to be a real challenge and yet by the end of the European Tour we should have ticked off 7 – A, C, E, F, G, I and S.
This includes all the acts we see in Scotland, primarily around Glasgow, our home town
